Party Time

We had a party the Saturday before Anja's actual birthday with some family.  My parents, sister and her youngest, my brother, his wife and youngest two kids and Joel's parents drove from the west side of the state for the party.  It was so thoughtful for them.  The party was a success.  Anja was thoroughly spoiled by her grandparents and aunts and uncles.

Then on her actual birthday, we had a few friends over for a little play date and to share cupcakes with.  It was beautiful weather, so we decided to walk to the park for a bit before the youngest three in the group needed a nap.

For dinner, we had a favorite for both kids--ravioli.  And then the 4 of us enjoyed one more cupcake to ensure we all had a sugar high.
