Here are some of the highlights:
Monday--we went to Cabela's.
Tuesday--Joel took Kyper for breakfast at Tim Horton's and then took him to school. Kyper had been asking if Daddy could take him to school for a while now, so he loved it--so did Joel. Anja, Joel and I all went to pick Kyper up from school after lunch and then we headed to the zoo.
Wednesday--Kyper and I went to coffee break/story hour. Anja and Joel got the Jetta's oil changed and some groceries. Then that afternoon we relaxed and tried to get some stuff ready for our night away. The only negative thing happened on this day...we had a minor sewage flood in our basement. 11 months after getting a pipe replaced under our house. Fortunately, it was small and relatively contained to one area in our basement. A few things we threw away--nothing valuable or meaningful. And, we only had about 3 loads of laundry to do from it. However, using the washing machine was out of the question as that is when water would come up the drain. We are very blessed though to have a church family and friends that live close that were willing for me to use their washer and dryer, so we didn't have to let it sit until the problem was fixed (after our trip).
Thursday--We packed up and headed down to Sandusky late morning to go to Great Wolf Lodge.
Friday--Spent the day at Great Wolf Lodge.
(Thursday and Friday--will have a separate post.)
Saturday--cleaned our house, so that a bunch of middle schoolers could come have a movie night at our place.

Sunday--Resurrection Day--we headed to church. After the service Kyper participated in a little Easter Egg hunt and then we had a continental breakfast. After church, we relaxed and napped and had some pork tenderloin for dinner. It was a very peaceful Resurrection Sunday and the perfect way to end Joel's week off.
